And if you really are rushing it you are in for constant beatdowns in the snowlands (both).
Also do the Volcano Manor quests before killing the boss there ( Rykard).
And it's also worth to explore so much dungeons as possible, you never know which one has important loot ( per ex. bell bearings)
Some mini bosses appear only at night, search for them.
Cheers!
If you figure 5 hours per zone, which is not a lot, that's 140 hours.
My completed playthrough was 450 hours.
There are a number of questlines that start before Royal Capital but the most important is mainly Ranni's for ending, and as simply the biggest questline, and if you want the frenzy ending there is one involving some purple whatever it was item you have to give her at certain locations (this ending is in contrast to the rest just fyi, but there is a way to get them all in one go if you Google it).
Aside from some minor questline stuff for things like the best upgrade material, some minor rewards, etc. you aren't missing a ton if you did skip stuff. The game has a truly stupendous amount of fluff and its hyper repetitive so if you don't want to engage in it and just enjoy what you have and move on that is fine, too. No big loss.
What a load of utter BS.
Without guides completing the game in 60 hours? no - you can 'Become Elden Lord' sure.
"does this mean you skipped content? Hard to say" , it's not hard to say , the answer is yes... yes you've skipped content.
Simply refer to the interactive Map and you'll see the sheer volume of things to do and collect.
You can 'finish' a playthrough in 6 hours fairly casually if you know what you're doing.
It takes around 120 hours to 'complete' the game - even then , you'll probably be skipping things.
Also of course getting every single "rare" dragon smithing stones of both types.
A new playthrough 60 hours? I openly say to you i dont give two flying damns if a youtuber said so.......enjoying the game properly give it 150 hours, more or less.
As i said above if you rush things they will mop the floor with your face when you reach the snowlands. Because you will not have the proper RL to going there without geting oneshoted.
How Long To Beat has the following stats for Elden Ring:
Main Story - 53 hours
Main + Sides - 98.5 hours
Completionist - 132 hours
Source: https://howlongtobeat.com/game/68151
These are averages at that, and not fastest.
From my own personal experience playing through exclusively at RL1 with +0 weapons even then I can't see it taking 200 hours and even 120 hours is pushing it and that is while completing 100% content without a guide and very thoroughly exploring. I'm very aware of how padded this game is from personal experience. If you actually level and upgrade your weapons, use meta or strong stuff like Sepukku, Bloodhound Step, strong ash of wars, Spirit Ashes, or multiplayer and stuff I can see it going far faster as you effectively obliterate everything in your path. Further, if you use a guide or online resources it would be even faster since you can cut out a lot of wasted time.
Can I see the average person taking around 120 to complete most/all content? Sure, that isn't unreasonable per the average user since skill levels vary, people will waste time at times, etc. but 200 hours is certainly a considerable stretch for almost anyone.
As for OP reaching where they currently stated in 60 hours? That could reasonably be done doing most of the content up to that point, but we don't know how efficiently they played so it is also equally possible they were just slower than average and did miss stuff.
As for just completing the main story and becoming Elden Lord if your skipping most content and have above average speed it can be far less than 60 hours.
The averages are skewed and self admitted - they can't be used
Yeah , I'm on NG+... 5? idk , my third Run took me about 6 hours
though - Completionist (all achievements) - 132 hours , seems about right , which is why I said 120 hours
Anyone who's a first time player and thinks they might have completed all the game has to offer in under 100 hours is talking out of their ass.
It's not a skill thing - I'm good at DS 1,2,3 - I think my first Elden Ring Run was 150 hours, and that's indeed not an 'optimal' run, but that partly was using Interactive map to locate and farm certain items.
I also spent a fair bit of time re-running bosses in Co-op sessions
Someone not using the Interactive map at all could easily spend 200+ hours finding things
So , 60 hours "completing the game" = Skipping content almost definitely, even 120 hours is likely not doable without any guides. Find everything by 'chance' nooope , not happening.
I have pretty much everything (and I do mean everything) in the game - 100% in the truest sense - (which is more likely 99.9%) , there's likely 'something' I don't have.
I feel like 180 hours was when I had 98% of things (using the interactive map) - and all achievements.
But getting all achievements is not 100% , there is a lot to collect beyond that.
And it's not happening in under 200 hours without the interactive map because there are things which are secrets or awkward to find.
