If that doesn't work, try exiting to the main menu and jump back into the game.
I have this issue happen a lot at the Mimic Tear arena SoG. The message is so close that I don't even get the prompt to touch the grace.
One would think that From would have fixed this after a decade of troll messages, but nope.
people are always thinking a message is preventing them from interacting with the lever, but in reality, the lever cannot be interacted with at all until you activate the elevator from the other side after passing thru most of leyndell.
people do put troll messages next to this lever, but the troll isnt to prevent you from using an otherwise useable lever, the troll is to make you think that lever would be useable if the message wasnt there, even tho its not.
I've heard a lot of people claim that a message is blocking interaction but, it's never actually been the case. It's either the grace interaction location is not in the same place as the grace (known bug), the grace became disabled because an enemy got too close (operator error), or the lever/interactable is disabled until you do something that enables it, like riding a lift (operator error again).
Interacting with an object always takes precedence over messages. If you're seeing the message, you're not in position to interact with the object or the object is not currently interactable. Messages do not block interaction with objects.
If you just need to activate a lever just go offline, pull it, then go back online.
