i do blame fromsoft for the game balance issues that have made fighting some ganks who choose to use certain setups/strats absurdly unbalanced, like shieldpoke, cheesy one shots, aoe spam, projectile spam etc etc, but the inherent mechanics of invaders being outnumbered and hosts having all kinds of advantages is actually really important to the dynamics of pvp and of the pvp community, and this is 100% how it should be.
these inherent advantages like outnumbering the invader, no friendly fire, great rune, etc etc etc, allow normal players just going thru the game to eventually overcome the challenge of being invaded, and the experience of gank spanking - beating a group of players with insane advantages over you with nothing more than your wits, your build and your skill, is absolutely integral to the invasion experience.
some of these advantages, like the constant stream of blues to replace your phantoms, are a bit much and could be tweaked, but the general outline of host advantages is exactly how it should be and is extremely important to the invasion experience and to the pvp community.
these are often the most fun invasions to play. whenever i invade someone i know as an invader from coinvading with them or from getting to know them in twitch streams, im super exited about it.
2 skilled players, not looking to stack every possible advantage, not using cheesy no skill gear, hosting very fun but very sweaty 2v2s.
yes please
So maybe host would be less toxic if invaders weren't such pathetic cowards.
Buddy I play the tank my job is to literally be in front of everyone. How about git gud and stop being a coward hiding being npc enemies trying to L1 spam with toothpicks.
Evry side has its sins, so unltil we get a balance or fix, nothing you can do. Accept it, move onto next.
I'm still going, but I don't think it's weird. It's fun to play in a group and win fights, I understand that. I don't think there's an easy fix for any of it either, because there are good reasons for the way everything is set up even if it's so easy to abuse.
I forgot I could do this. I did it all the time in DS3.
I hate the hosts that get me summoned in as a blue just so they can have a red friend kill me.
