Is the Fextralife-Wiki wrong or the Game ??
just fought this one Anastasia PVP Gal at smoldering church (wasnt hard). got SACRED SCORPION CHARM!this is what this whole thread is all about!

https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Sacred+Scorpion+Charm

INGAME: says i take 50%+ and even more damage! something ENTIRELY DIFFERENT: i says i take at least DOUBLE the damage i took before!!! the ingame stats state that: physical DMG negation goes from around 17.000 to 8.500 and stuff like PIERCE DMG negation even goes from 14.000 to 5.500!

so did they nerf it to be totaly unusable?? or is the fextralife wiki wrong? or am i just forgetting something or reading something wrong? cause im definitely not an elden ring pro so far, even if the bosses seem way to easy.

CAUSE THIS SEEMS LIKE THE WORST TALISMAN EVER !!

It boosts HOLY damage by 12%. Sacred Twinblade is split 50/50 between physical and holy damage. User error.

They are good for specific damage builds, such as Discus of Light (and the other holy damage incantation) for the Sacred Scorpion Charm. The extra physical damage you take from the scorpion charms can be reduced with the Dragoncrest talismans.

17-8.5=8.5; 14-5.5=8.5
So you're losing 8.5 percent points of damage absorption, meaning you will take 91.5% of physical damage inflicted instead of 83%. (94.5% instead of 86% for pierce, disregarding defense ofc.) If you haven't been taught percents at school yet I encourage you to learn them as an extracurricular activity. 8.5pp seems like a good deal compared to the 10pp the wiki has.

Ah math. It can prove anything you want it to because people often misrepresent the truth it's meant to convey. Understanding math can get complicated as we have seen here.

Don't use fextralife. The scrub shoves his twitch channel onto every page to force you into his audience because he's a no-talent hack who can't get viewers normally.
Plus, he charges to remove said auto-player & ads. Meaning he either forces you to inflate his viewer numbers, or you have to pay him to opt-out.

Don't give him the BS satisfaction of inflating his numbers; don't use fextralife.

so yeah that damage part actually was a really stupid question! i found that out myself BEFORE READING YOUR ANSWERS. probably was because i was drunk. lolol

what i didnt get, was the damage reduction thing tho. so thanks to kat!
wasnt that stuff described kinda differently in dark souls tho? maybe i remember it wrong.

cause when u call me a "manual reader" :D im actually the TOTAL 100% opposite of that.. i always just played the game.. and NEVER watched any info videos or manuals about it first playtroough. new game + to complete certain dark souls quests ive missed in DS the past? yes. but besides that i just trusted the item descriptions. so that was the reason i posted this in the first place!

just wanted to check that with this weapon this one time. i will singleplayer beat everything, without any guides like i always did! so far i just slayed 7 dungeon bosses and they all were way to easy. but i guess/hope that the "real" bosses will be harder!

its kind of an intersting information to know how much percentage it actually is! so fextralife seems to be a good place for that!?

I remember when playing souls, I kept using wikidot. But I think with ds3, everyone went to fextra so it became the better populated one :(

I would, but... it's the only Wiki currently out there. Fandom one is bare-bones and it has also it's issues, and wiki-dot for Elden Ring doesn't exists at all.

Unfortunately true, however there are no other wikis with the same quality and ease of information. The comments to the individual items can also be extremely helpful when they share test data. Just don't leave the tabs open.

It is quite easy to cut out chunks of the page, including the Twitch thingie, using Browser plugins like uBlock Origin.
