You literally did tho.
Its less about skill and more what kind of weapon youre using or what spirit summon you have
If you really want to stick it to unfair bosses, use Bloodhound's Step. Your victory may feel hollow, though.

Bleed, Heavy Str, Mage, Faith/Dex, and Str/Faith, so far.
And i hardly used Torrent too (largely cause im an idiot and forget hes even useable on this boss)
Summoning Alexander for one last hurrah, smashing the giants leg until his roar shakes the mountains; f'n dude rips his own leg off after it hampers him and destroys himself to show his true form. He was like Godrick the Grafted with a growth disorder.
Maybe I enjoyed him so much because of my sound system? Not sure, but I am hooked up to AE5+ with a 10" sub and the battle shook my house. Truly epic.
I don't go into sequels thinking "I hope it's as good as the first" it's more "sweet a new title!'
See, but this is not true.
It doesn't matter what spirit you use for example, if you are not trying to make them do all the work. I used the Wandering 7 Nobles for a while solely for them to draw aggro while I deal some damage. If anything - Mimic was a mistake and ruined how the others where viewed - as it was super powered and can be stacked up. Pair that with any end-game build and sure it will take down every other spirit ash.
The weapons are also skewed through OP examples overshadowing other reliable weapons. For example, few people seem to bring up Sacred Relic Greatsword and it's Wave of Gold art (unless I mention it first and they are like "OH YEAH - no that is OP" or "Oh, that is so easy to dodge and trash). Plus, with everyone looking online now for best builds, something like RoB is now the "norm" as people don't like to lose for whatever reason.
Similarly to your posts here - "this is the first from game where i dont feel bad about using op ♥♥♥♥"; your are basically telling me you picked this meme bleed build as it was "OP" but now Fire Giant is testing your mettle as he doesn't just bleed to death and you cannot win anymore - yet, in a game where you can respec 18 times a playthrough - it is seemingly too much effort/time to maybe review your stats and see what may work better for you.
Folks are doing SL1 runs, that takes some skill. I beat it with only dragon incants; this took a little skill but more timing (am not trying to say it was an accomplishment, but harder than a bleed build using weapons). Also beat this using less-than-favorable spirits from time to time. If this game didn't take some skill - we would all be doing SL1 runs as the game would have been "beaten" in the sense that one build can make anyone LMSH.
It's because people like the OP rely on one status effect the entire game, meaning they don't need to actually learn anything. Then along comes the fire giant, and these people are clueless. It's their own fault.
"I am Malenia, blade of Miquella
Fire Giant is actually quite easy compared with other stuff
