why can enemy's attack you threw walls
i have died way to many time because an enemy can attack me threw a wall my attacks cant go threw how is that even fair

how am i suppose to defend agents enemy attacks i cant even see coming

also why can an enemy lock on to me threw a wall yet the wall takes away my lock on

why is it that when i try and lock onto an enemy in the center of my screen it locks on to an enemy on the side of the screen also why is it that i try to lock onto an enemy attacking me yet it locks onto a deer or a stupid non hostile rodent

why is it my summoned AI allies target enemy's out side of boss gates instead of the boss who is attacking me

i play games to have fun but this game is so clunky im not having fun the only reason this game is hard is because the game is poorly programmed

your attacks can totally go through walls, there's a dungeon in caelid where you can kill a bunch of enemies behind locked doors before pulling the lever to open them

it was always and in all FR games like this:)

Because bad game design

if you got aggro, it's fair game. if they're doing some EvE thing and somehow that attack goes through a wall and hits you. that's an issue, but I can't think of anywhere that could happen. even then, you'd be aware of some massive EvE battle and have your guard up.

you can return the favor like Pyro said

you can even be cheeky breeky. take a straight sword, R2 is a stab. you peek around a corner and you can attack with just the weapon around the corner if you angle it properly the wall will protect you from most attacks.

be safe

EDIT: that video there. that same thing would happen without the walls. you're not safe if you have aggro.

It's lazy game design, but as others have pointed out at least it works both ways.
BUD_TOKER_13 Apr 12, 2022 @ 8:49am
how do i attack threw wall my attacks always bounce off the wall as ware i will be behind a wall well before an attack starts and it straight up goes threw the wall and kills me it happens all the time

and no i cant be cheeky and just have my sward around a corner because they just stab me threw the corner

and no not all from software games are like this im a huge armored core fan and those games the enemy's cant attack you threw a wall as for soles games i have never played them because i do not like them i only got this one because it looked to be different but its not

its sad when PS1 and PS2 era games are better developed then modern games

It's a bug they were too lazy to fix, it goes waaaaay back to demon's souls, or even before that.

This game is programend to be unfair (bosses), the game want you to die so you are frustrated and maybe happy if you win after 100 trys.
I like Elden Ring, but I will never see the End or all areas of it, the quest and story are useless only a few player will end the game.

Invisible walls are a more complicated thing beyond the scope of most any of your understanding.

For example! If weapons, some magic did not cut through the wall, the server would also have to remove breakable items entirely. IDK how so don't ask, but in game mechanics for breaking stuff crosses path with server structure. For everything to be locked down, and not penetrable I'm pretty sure you have to remove all breaking items factor first, then solidify the entire server map with invisible walling.

From my understanding anyway there is no in between for this. They cross wires

Engine limitation with regard to enemy AI, in order to "optimize" performance some rendered structures (most pillars) appear as invisible to enemies' attacks so path-finding calculations are reduced. In my opinion it's all bs artificial difficulty to annoy players taking cover behind a pillar while using a healing incantation :)

Isn't it 2022 already? When are devs going to update their early 2000's engines? :MHRISE_Felyne:

that would be understandable if it only happened with breakable walls but it even happens with unbreakable walls also our weapons bounce off them so why dose their weapons not bounce off them

No in past games I've noticed this trend as well. If the server is implemented in the state like Elden Ring where a great deal of stuff is breakable, seems 'always' the case that Ai can gut through walls all the same every time. None of that is confirmed though this is just 'ok' guess work. Probably not correct at all on my end.

See my message above, enemies wont go through walls but their weapons will (spells / incantatations won't) so the engine is limited with regard to the "decisions" an enemy may take when the player is behind a solid unbreakable structure, this is, if their weapon is within reach they will attack and eventually hit you through a wall with no shame at all.

so from software dose not want return customers do they hate their job that much that they do not want people buying more of their games

when i finally beat a boss im never happy i literally feel like i just got lucky and wining a game should never be down to RNG and luck it should be about skill and their is no way to actually get skilled at a game programmed to be cheep

this game literally feels like an abusive relationship i cant just quit because i have invested so much time into it but it is unhealthy to keep playing because its so cheep and cheats you every chance it gets it just infuriates you if i wanted to be in an abusive relationship i would not have divorced my wife

so if this is something that will never be fixed i might as well uninstall the game and save my self the frustrations and i might as well never buy another from software game even though im looking forward to the next armored core but i just cant support a dev that hates its players
