dane never used great axe, so that would be surprising to see, but anything is possible in a fantasy world.

There's nothing to close to a Dane axe in game unfortunately, I think something like the Gargoyle's halberd is probably the most effective axe like weapon you could use instead. Dane axe was a long handled axe, and so is the gargoyle halberd. Though I think the gargoyle halberd is quite a bit bigger than any Dane axe.

The head on a dane axe is not that big. Focus was mostly on the handle. that thing has some nasty reach.

Yep... and the highland axe feels far too short IMO, which was one of the reasons I didn't even consider it. If only it had the reach of the longshaft axe or crescent moon axe.
