Yeah. Or just, well, you **are** explicitly selecting to summon torrent, just leave it at that. Use the flask, summon it.
The UX could be improved in a lot of places though.
I guess they could make better use of crafting raisins so Torrent uses 5 or even 10 of them to revive, that can be one way they can eliminate the confirmation entirely, so if you don't have the raisins you'll just get a message at the bottom of the screen saying you don't have the required amount, that will be there for a few seconds before fading away.
and then you gotta go farm flowers for raisins on foot
im curious can he revive using fp flask if you don't use hp flask ?
gonna have to test that.

Git gud losers, git gud.
Considering how obscenely common rowa fruit are for making raisins, that's really not a big deal at all.
Lol it's not even a matter of skill or cunning or planning, it's just an oversight that makes what should be a very simple action needlessly tedious and flat out annoying. Gitting gud quite literally doesn't apply here because we don't have spiders for hands.
The player clearly wants to revive Torrent and From knows that, the fact they left the option on no is an objectively terrible design choice.
considering how obscenely fast it is to double press a button to summon the horse with a flask that's really not a big deal at all.
Considering how obscenely dumb and ridiculous this issue is, asking to get this easily fixable problem solved so players can enjoy the game with as few UI frustrations as possible is really not a big deal at all.
You're not the only smart arse here. Your suggestion might be a decent one but it's a dumb way to make the player work around a problem that shouldn't be there to begin with. Besides, tell me who the ♥♥♥♥ would ever select no to begin with when they obviously want to revive Torrent? Makes zero sense.
I highly doubt it's intentional. Almost every choice throughout the Miyazaki-directed games default their choices to no, including very important ones like accepting Solaire's jolly co-operation. I can't speak on their behalf, of course, but I am convinced that this is an oversight and likely one that From weren't very conscious of during play testing. It's an incredibly easy thing to fix and doing so will alleviate some needless tedium and frustration.
i just made the exact same argument you made, thats all there is to it
