Holy/Sacred infusion to permanently kill undead enemies, ie. skeletons, only works if it is active skill. Passive holy damage on weapon does not grant this effect.

Treespear has ash of war skill called Sacred Order that infuses the weapon with holy essence. You will deal massive damage and kill skeleton permanently while this buff is active. The moment it drops off, you need to kill skeletons twice again.
From my experience it's not tye affinity that prevents them from raising, its the holy damage.

As an example, I use the weapon art that shoots an arc of light and buffs my damage for a few seconds and undead do not raise when the buff is active, but will if I hit them normally, despite half of my attack being holy damage.
well i think it would be "less annoying" if you use a "holy" weapon that his dmg acts like if you had it imbued...just saying as an opinnion thats all :D

I tend to agree.

Reality is it does not work like that. Holy Damage would be quite potent against skeletons but it would be very niche advantage that would hardly save holy damage overall.
