Buffing before a fight in PVP should be punished
Im all for bowing or waving before a fight begins, but as soon as someone STARTS buffing or popping consumables i rush them immidiatley. See a lot of people frowning on this, but my logic is, if you have a build, that requires heavy buffing to work, and i run a build that requires no buffs but puts out less damage as a result, why on earth should i let you get to full power? In what crazy world should that even be up for discussion. My whole advantage is limited buffs, and your biggest weakness is that you need time to apply them, why do people expect me to willingly give that up?

Oh no i got banned from a game over 6yrs ago and how is that relevant now? right exactly it isn't you need to git gud at the game before they patch your lil exploits and you come crying on discussions how everything needs a nerf and i'm pretty sure i'm allowed to point out your stupidity in a game this discussion is made for if you want to cry about my game ban why don't you ♥♥♥♥ off to the TF2 discussions and guess what they'll most likely not care either so keep repeating the same comments on everything i'm not the one making dumb asf threads looking like a tard

I am of two minds regarding this - there are unwritten rules and ettiquette to be followed when you duel someone, this is not an invasion where all bets are off, this is supposed to be gentlemanly, that being said, it is beyond reason for you to expect your opponent to sit and wait while you apply 5 to 7 buffs before engaging in the duel, that is preposterous, and rather silly. A gesture, 1 maybe 2 buffs, and its on, everything else during the fight is fair game minus drinking a health pot, use bolusses to counter status effects ( yeah when status effects apply through I frames, you cannot expect them to just eat the DoT, or the stupid bleed procs, thats not skill, thats just waving your weapon in their direction) - Honest Truth, with all the status effects that proc just by sneezing at your opponent, I am leaning towards health pots being allowed - because it takes zero skill to proc bleed, poison, rot on your opponent. And many "newer" pvp afficianados rely on the procs and not skill.

I think you make perfectly reasonable points, I generally move towards them as soon i see them buffing, this usually gives them time to stick one or two buff on before im in their face.

There is another trend that is starting to show, and thats people summoning a duel, and attacking as they spawn - so before the opponent even gets their bearings, they have status procs going. but - this a new game, and the current flavor of the month, eventually these type of scummy tactics will disappear when the next new shiny thing hits the market.

theres no anger when I lose, especially when I'm using unbalanced weapons in a game that has zero balance

you misunderstand - its not about you losing, its about your gamesmanship - invasions are not duels - invasions is kill the host by any means required. Duels are more formal, there are certain rules the community abides by, I somewhat agree that your opponent should not cry foul if they try to do an exhorberant amount of buffs, but attacking someone when they are being curteous (bowing) is just douchebaggery.

Your opponent is facilitating enjoyment by participating in dueling you, have the curtesy to show the same in return.

And so, like I said, do not get your panties in a bunch when you get called out on your douchebaggery.
