My experience with Elden Ring on PS5 is near flawless. The performance was not stellar at release but later patch improved it significantly. There are still areas where the game drop frames or stutters for a bit but it is a rare occurrence. I had 0 game crashes in over 250 hours played. The game also loads rather fast on PS5 SSD but it is still slower than other modern games developed for PS5.

Just be mindful that if you buy it for PS5, you need to have PSN otherwise you will not be able to play online multiplayer.

The point is that playing on pc won't give you the advantage of a potentially higher fps based on your specs like it would with many games. Higher fps is a major reason to play on PC that ER just doesn't have.

This is rue for 1080p/1440p gaming, not 4K.

PS5 4K is at 30fps.
PC 4K is at 60fps with a rtx3080.

Think most would agree due to FS well known general practice of bad porting that console is more consistent in play without issues for a fact. I got this on pc, and since then have been hacked by forum trolls, dealt with all the stuttering through three patches, etc etc.

Just not quality here on Steam. We get screwed over, and the gen community says "YES SCREW ME HARDER please." Truly disgusting

Tons of videos going over the comparisons of PS5 and PC. The ultimate conclusion was that neither ports are optimized and a framerate lock was the dumbest asset to get behind. Does not make sense to develop a game with locked frames with the intention to implement ray tracing and other features later down the road. Its not going to happen is the long answer nobody wants to hear.

With your hardware, there's really no reason to not get the PC version. It's not like the PS5 version runs better like the way some of these posters are pretending or ignoring.

Ps5, no contest

Gain nothing on pc, other than mods, graphics simply aren’t that good or well optimized for that matter

Connection issues too, like can only imagine on PlayStation side it’s better overall, or worse case it’s same ♥♥♥♥ show and lose either way

Oh, and likely be larger playerbase for longer on consoles if past games any indication

Bro and I playing on PC and using KBM with no issues. I'm looking forward to the mods, like the seamless coop mod with no invasions in the works.
If you want to play online, PS5.

If you want to use mods to make it actually playable on PC you have to play offline.

Get it on console if you can, pc seems to have a lot of issues and stuttering and others, people like me, even if they have a setting able to run the game they cant because EAC just seems to deny users access. So you are better off on console.

Except PS5 version doesn't have frequent game halting stutters that a lot of people are experiencing with PC version.

I'm having fun with PC version but I've never seen some of the stuttering that randomly occurs in all my years of PC gaming, these can be such long stutters that the game then speeds up afterwards to "Catch up" It's bizarre.

i7 8700K / 16GB 3200 / EVGA 3060 Ti / Win 10 / ER installed to dedicated games only 860 EVO SSD.

EDIT: I've read the longer pauses followed by speed up effect only happens when you're online so maybe a server issue, havent tried offline mode, It doesnt happen very frequently.
