Dragon incantations
Are they as good as the name implies? I ask because I just acquired some and my faith ability is badly lacking. I have been concentrating on vigor, endurance, dex and arcane with a smattering of others. Do I want to concentrate on leveling faith so I can use them?

depends, you wanna be a caster?

some of them are some other not, i especially love the rot dragon breath you can quickly kill many things with it

Dragon incantations also benefit from arcane so keep that in mind.

For the rest... It really depends, scarlet breath wrecks almost everything, ice breath is great about more specific enemies weak to it, but so far I have not seen a good use for the blue fire dragon one.

I would say they are pretty good overall, but also quite slow to cast so you have to keep an eye on your timing when using them

scarlet rot breath and Dragonice are the only ones that are good. One applies scarlet rot, and the other will apply frostbite.

if you want damage output from incantations you may get better results from Frenzy incantations, especially Flame of Frenzy for more close ranged blasting and Frenzied Burst probably the longest ranged spell in the game. the status side of those is all-but-useless in PVE since Madness only works on the handful of enemies that function like invaders.

Sadly, the offensive incantations in this game seem non-viable. My first run, I was planning on doing faith, but I sweat my ass off to kill the Crucible Knight that drops the tail spell, and the resulting damage was so meager that I stopped leveling faith altogether and changed to a dex build.

Flame of Frenzy is a potent "shotgun" spell too, and very FP efficient~

Rot breath is legitimately busted to hell. Completely unbeatable if you've got people covering you.
No, that's not a good thing. It needs to be fixed.

If you're using the Dragon Communion Seal (15% damage bonus to dragon communion incants), you'll wanna get the minimum stats for the incant -> Arcane to 45 -> Faith to 45 -> Arcane to whatever. Some of them are very strong, like the rot one is utterly devastating against bosses that aren't overtly immune (like the ones made of stone, or undead enemies who have no blood to poison.)

If you're using general incants, which one is best will vary wildly based off which spells you use and what your other stats are,.

Generally speaking, aside from support incants (like Flame Protect Me, Golden Vow, Flame Cleanse Me, etc.) or the aforementioned rot breath, you're not going to see much return for the cost if you don't go real heavy on Faith. Like, yeah you can chuck some fireballs but if you only have like 25 faith you'll be way better off just smacking your enemy with a sword.
