Best bleed weapon for greatshield?

I've been using the Bloody Helice but I feel like the range is a little low. Anyone have experience with Mohg's Trident or the Naginata? Those are the two I was looking at to switch.

Try a whip!
Most of 'em (besides the Urumi) deal Striking damage. Many of 'em have Bleeding built-in and can be further modified with Ashes of War.
Good range, nice cleaving AoE cone, quick attacks.

I'm actually considering retiring my Moonveil in favor of my whip, and just using a dagger for my backstabbing and riposting needs.

The Naginata's move set is great.. It has the block attack of a spear while the chopping and slashing motions of a halberd when not guarding.

Sorry, I should have specified specifically thrusting weapons so I can keep me shield up while poking away.

Im trying the bloodhound fang and really like it. Nice reach, sweeping attack for crowd control, 55 bleed effect (i think), can be buffed too.

Backflip after a huge attack special move then press strong attack to do the forward crazy teleporting attack

Great Epee** is a really fun weapon to poke with and put a bleed ashes on it.

Also you may want to look at the Treespear.. Its one of the very few weapons out there that can be buffed while already being split damage, meaning you can do bloodflame on it.. And it being a great spear, it has huge range, and good stagger damage.

I honestly felt like the great thrusting swords had almost the same thrusting range for shield pokes as spears do. I guess that naginata should poke further than the Bloody Helice though. Maybe carry an antspur rapier with frost, poison, or bleed; for when you don't mind the abysmal range and want to apply scarlet rot.

I suggest a heavy thrusting sword. Those things are insane, and most people don't expect you to be able to Dynast's Finesse them when you're a big tank build.
