Controller Issue - Triggers and Sticks Stopped Working
Hey, I wanted to run by if anyone else had been running into the same issue I just out of the blue started having. So I've been playing with a SCUF Xbox Controller (BTW it's great) and I've got about 60 hours in no problem at all.

Today I booted up the game and all of a sudden my left and right sticks, along with my left and right triggers, no longer work. Now they DO still work, but they aren't working in the game. They DO though work if I press another button (such as if I hold down the sprint button now they all work).

Has anyone run into this issue, or did I hit a setting button I was unaware of? I've restarted, reset default controllers, and have checked the integrity of the game (no issues) and was hoping someone knew a fix.

Bumping as my right trigger ceased to function just earlier, i have over 230 hours in the game and no issues until now, steam, windows, other games all detect the input just fine, resetting to default in ring and steam controller configuration did not help. I have no idea whats going on.

Have been having a similar issue since last patch. My controller has an irregular issue where the left stick seems to be stuttering. It is a problem that seems to just come and go and is unique to Elden Ring. No fixes though, tried Controller config in Big Picture, Steam Overlay - nothing.

I also have this same exact issue. I've tried switching to a different xbox controller, even tried a ps4 controller, reinstalled the game, and it still did not work. I've tested other Fromsoft games (DS3) and it worked fine. However, it seems to be isolated to Elden Ring. I've tried using the same controller on another pc and it worked fine which is weird. I'm wondering if I have to reinstall my windows install just to fix this...

UPDATE: The solution for my problem specifically was to unplug the logitech wingman controller that was plugged in. Apparently it was causing the game to only detect the thumbsticks and the triggers only when a "button" is pressed such as the d pad, xyba buttons, and the thumbstick buttons. Hope this helps anyone.

Thanks a lot for this : I spend two weeks trying everything in Steam big picture in terms of steam input and not understanding it was my Logitech X56 plugged that caused the sticks to stop working on my xbox gamepad. Just unplugged it and it worked like a charm. Spread the words to all flight simmer.

I had a problem while overlooking the fact my Thrustmaster H-Pattern shifter was in 5.th gear from my earlier sim racing session.
