Question about Ballista/Jar Cannon

Does it matter if i meet the requirements? cause these things dont scale and you likely never using the skill Kick anyway.

I guess it will drain more stamina, but that thing already drained quite a bit, im mostly asking dmg wise or effect of the bolts.

Anything you ignore the requirements of and use anyway will do severely lowered damage. To what extent I am unsure, but it's probably on the wiki.

The only way around it is to have enough of said requirement for two-handing it to allow full use.

So these things are useless for this character with barely any str, rip, guess im staying with the greatbows, kinda wish they had a explosion skill like the Mistwood (dont remember the name) was it? from ds3.
