quick question about weapon/shield affinities

alright, say i'm running a blood build, which duh everyone is doing that until it gets nerfed, and im sort of experimenting with heavy armor+shield+RoB build, my RoB is of course default blood affinity so that's cool.

now here's where the question is; i put on a spiked palisade shield which has blood affinity on it, how exactly will that affect the item?? will it apply bleed on block/parry? is it only affecting the 'weapon art' on the shield? does it affect my normal sword swings blood applications if i equip the shield along with RoB?

if i have both shield and RoB equipped and i use RoB's weapon art (which autoswitches to 2handed for the duration) will the shield's blood affinity affect the weapon art at all, or be considered "not equipped" for the duration?

It will only cause bleed when you hit someone with shield bash or similar ashes of war, or you 2h it and start hitting someone with it.

that's a bit weird, so when i equip it in left hand with a 1h weapon, it doesn't proc affinity, but if i go 2H, it does? :P

No, you misunderstood me. I meant that the shield will only cause bleed if you attack with it by either 2h it or using shield bash/crash. Either way, it will count as unequipped when you use the weapon art of your RoB. It won't stack the bleed of your shield on it.
