Malenia absurd healing need rework...

So she heal her self when she hit me for 0 damage on 100 physical block shield... If she would get heal on hit that actually does damage - I would be 100% OK with it. But this $hit is out of any logic.

So if she got heal when hitting hard things like heavy shield we need to finish this logic. Let it work like she get healing on any attack when she hit ground or anything on boss arena. Why not? What the difference between hitting my shield for zero damage or hitting rocks on arena ground for same zero damage?

Or if it sounds beyond any absurd so maybe she have to be reworked to get healing only when deal ACTUAL DAMAGE? Not just by swinging her sword in random directions!!!

It's probably a design choice to keep the difficulty higher. At least she is an optional boss so you don't have to fight her

This is entirely true. Also since no one uses shields anyway I'd prob give kids the ability to shield without her absorbing health regardless. 100% block should be 100% block not 90% for her with a 10%+ heal off the shield. That part I would agree is very stupid imp because that will give kids a hella hard time.

No it does not. You just need to realize what the fight is trying to tell you. If the boss is outhealing your damage, that means you're not dealing enough damage. Therefore go on an offensive and play more aggressively. You are being punished for hiding behind your shield and being too passive.

I think they gave her a heal on hit because it would have been too easy for shield builds compared to other build, but i see her heal as a clunky way to make the fight difficult

Seriously? Nowhere does it say it's "lifesteal". She heals on hit.

It's not true because I smashed the ♥♥♥♥ out of her with a shield and spear. The spear was pure str with no bleed or frost. I don't know the dodge timing on her waterfowl or any other attacks because I blocked them all, never evaded a single attack, and still smacked her down.

With the right build you can hold L1 for most of the fight, poke with R2, outdamage her and win. Winged sword and greatshield talismans are a big help, and they're both ridiculously easy to get early. It's more about managing your stamina, positioning, and making sure you hit here whenever she attacks. And if you throw in guard counters when it's safe, you can stagger/crit/charge attack her on wakeup for big damage.

If you can't out DPS her heals, that's a problem with your build/levels and you need to go grind/finish the build and come back. Shields work very well against her if you want to autopilot the fight, at least in lower NG+ cycles.

If you're relying on a spirit you should be rushing her down and interrupting her as much as possible, otherwise it's a walking med kit for her.

Malenia is like 60% strategy, 30% patience and 10% skill. You can trivialize the fight if you use the right build.
