Switching quickly to melee weapon after using a bow

Hi
When i have been using the bow and then the angry target starts charging towards me i find i have to cycle through my right hand weapons to get my sword ready and i've suffered for the delay.

Is there a quicker way of switching to your melee weapon?

have bow on the left hand then

What was said above, or hard swap to it from your menu instead then hit the pause button to fully back out to the game and then swing

Reduce the amount of weapons in inventory by putting everything you don't plan to use in the chest when you visit a site of grace. You'll get a lot more efficient with gear swapping when you don't have a ton of clutter.

just perform the two-hand weapon function for your melee weapon when they get feisty

To this piece of advice, if you can reduce your inventory so you don't have to scroll up/down the page that's a good and relatively tight inventory size, also worth messing with how your inventory is sorted in that regard

Yeah I actually fixed this issue for myself recently out of the annoyance of a empty hand switch delay. If you add two weapons, any, or two shields, any, on one side of yourself the switch will always be to the secondary weapon or shield. There will be no empty space of delay.
