Help! Suddenly Dexterity points removed - from 38 down to 6?!

Hello, I had my dexterity leveled to 38 and while fighting in a dungeon and being killed by two trolls, after respawning, my Dexterity level was scaled down to 6 points (respectively 1 without Radagon's Soreseal talisman)
All my weapons are unusable, I can only use the club now!

Does anyone know how this can happen and what might be a fix? Is it a savegame bug or...? Really not feeling like starting the character again (and again)...

it's not a satisfying solution, but you can backup this save, just in case, and then get a working Cheat Engine script, re-adjust your Dex to its proper value, go online again and hope EAC has a good day.

Try rebirth.

If that doesn't work, I might have a working mod fix for that bug that'll reset stats. Need to know your starting class, level and current stats and then I'll test it.

Even if you lost Godrick's rune effect, that would only be -5.
Maybe in a moment of beeing diverted by something (just a wild guess) you had multiple talismans unequipped which give dex (Soreseal / Heirloom / Prothesis)?

Other than that my only idea is to reborn yourself via larva in hoping the game re-calculates your lvl (+ forgotten stats) and you can give yourself the 38 dex back.

Thanks for the suggestion! No, I just had the Radagon's Soreseal talisman, after unequipping this, it's even Dex 1! I send a screenshot of the stats later.

id start with a file verification since a lot of funky things can happen with file corruption that was reported in patch 1.03.1 and .2, it probably wont revert the damage done, but im curious to know if it finds any missing files

If its the 1st then someone hacked you or you somehow hacked them in.
If its 2nd then idk cause no character Has 6 dex and it won't get that low on its own

Thanks, it's just Dex. And I happened (I noticed) while being in Cliffbottom Catacombs. And the trolls were "Ogres" (had to check again).

It's overall Level 87, with Vigor on 40 for example, Rest of the Stats similar... and now Dex is 6 with Radagon's Soreseal talisman - and 1 without...

I think your best bet is to try rebirth in the Academy and see if it lets you allocate stats.
The only way I see that happening is by either getting invaded by a hacker or some kind of save data corruption.
Either way the best advice one can offer from here on out is to keep several backups of your save files in case something similar happens in the future.

I thought they said they had -6 dex and assumed they can't count good or was using cat mask.

if you havve the oppertunity, go to the respec lady. Levels are not "stat" based and mybe you can revert it be relocation your stats. The level should have stayed the same so you can relocate the same amount of skillpoints you had before

Be very careful doing this. I had this same thing happen and used CE to fix it. Now I have a 180 day threat message on my title screen while the do an investigation.

There is definitely a bug somewhere. When the stats got messed up I panicked and looked into forums leading me to the CE program for a solution. But just using that wasn't enough there was still a problem in the game that CE couldn't fix. The level values would not return to what they should be. My faith would only allow me to save it to 0.

To fix this I had to use a stat calculator on a reputable site to figure out how many points I should have in total with an arbitrary spread throughout the stats. Then once I had enough stats to actually be at the level 150 that I was at I had to go do a rebirth so that the game would recalculate and "fix" the 0 faith value. This set it to 8 and by putting the missing points in to another stat I was able to reallocate them to the appropriate stats during the rebirth.

In short as this person has said DO NOT USE CE. This may well lead me to a 180 day ban and didn't even resolve the problem completely. Just try the rebirth first. The stats may be messed up but you should be able to reallocate them how ever you need to from there.

Came here because I couldn't believe this was not answered. Godrick rune gives +5 across the entire board. Add on charms for individual +5 buffs.
