Is there a chance my PC can run Elden Ring ?
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6500 CPU @ 3.20GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.2GHz
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 19042) (19041.vb_release.191206-1406)
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Card name: Radeon (TM) RX 480 Graphics
Asus b150m-a

If not, maybe there are minor upgrades I can make ? Or is it inevitable to buy a new PC ?

Thanks in advance

I mean... compare it to the system requirements?
Pretty sure your RAM is too low, to begin with

Thanks.
Sorry, I know very little about these things.
If I buy another RAM 8GB I could run it ?

I saw people on youtube running it with 8gb ram. Some areas will lag, they said. I'd pick up and other 8gb. I think the rest of your build will be fine.

I bought a new computer to play this. I been meaning to buy a new PC, but there was no high spec game that motivated me.

You could buy it now and see what areas you can run fine in. Get a stick of ram when you can.

Also, make sure the ram you buy has the same clock speed as the ram you have now.

You should be able to run it, but it will run very poorly. Probably. When we're talking about those things, it's never something you can say with 100% confidence. There are people out there with very powerful PCs that still can't run the game well due to random performance issues that affect their specific configuration and nobody else.

I'd say next upgrade would be your graphics card, but honestly I seen people running it on gtx 960, which isn't as good, so I am sure you are fine. The game is being optimised for PC over time, too. It is a massive game, though.

It may be best to look into a new PC for the future. Not sure about the motherboard, but your GPU and CPU are quite behind afaik. Albeit this is only my perspective, there's other's out there who could tell you more specifically what could hold you back. Just in my experience, when too much of your PC is out of date, it sometimes is just better to get a new one.

You could always get Elden Ring and see how it fairs on your PC, and refund it if it doesn't work out, but keep in mind the 2h playtime limit on refunds.

Edit: The most impactful components to a PC generally are the GPU(Graphics Card), CPU(Processor), and Ram. However something that can bottleneck them is the motherboard, thankfully motherboards very rarely need to be replaced compared to the GPU or CPU, and even those can last years upon years.

Did you just put yourself in a box? Are you still alive?

Don't look at me.
Ram and cpu would bottleneck it imo

Thank you kindly. I will give it a try.
Much obliged.

Could run away from it I reckon.

Well on a more constructive note, more ram is def needed, not sure about the processor.

more RAM would be nice, but you can definetely run this game with 8GB RAM : that's what I have, the game runs fine. No invisible ennemies or weird stuff, I've had 2 crashes in about 150 hours of play.

@OP : I have the same CPU and a 1060 GTX, if your GPU is comparable to a 1060 then you should be able to run this game
