Worst Area In The Game?

For me it's Mohgwyn Palace. I actually have to stop and ask on what the ♥♥♥♥ were they thinking? The game itself is stellar in my opinion. There been a few bosses that I was not a fan of and made me wonder if they knew that not every player going to be a mage so maybe giving a boss an AOE attack you cant outrun and make them spam it is not the best idea. Then there Consecrated Snowfields, which is just a slug to get through where you can't see anything at first even and some enemies hit way too hard.

Yet oh boy, all of that pales in comparison to Mohgwyn ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Palace. Not only level is rather small, lacks much depth to even over all, but it's filled to the brim with enemies, and each of them got potential one shot move. I am running at 55 vigor so seeing my hp go from 100 to 0 is always a wtf moment for me, yet when every single enemy in the area can 100 to 0 me, thats just obnoxious. Here the cartwheel ♥♥♥♥♥ with spikes, the bugged out dogs, the bloody birds, and don't forget them giant skelleton summoners! 4 of them in one spot.

My god, that area is actually atrocious, so much so that it's the only area in the game that I just said ♥♥♥♥ it and ran through without fighting anything after my 20ths or so death, that time to bugged 80k dmg dogs,

Oh boy, Mohgwyn palace is the best place to farm runes. The reason for it being so good is that it is so choke full of enemies concentrated in such a small area. There is a famous farming spot near one of site of grace where you have 15+ enemies within short distance of each other. I farmed there with single-target build, with AOE and I farmed there after I beat the game and acquired boss weapon that makes this area pure love.

I'd say the whole Mountain area, Giant Mountain and the Haligtree mountain, because there's not a single new enemy introduced. Fire Giant was great, though, not sure why so many are bothered with him. That cut scene was A+!

Nothing is beating lake of rot. i have to go through so many rot cures. and the whole area's color is just miserable

That's actually quite annoying vs the item, it takes time for the animation to take affect and the moment rot fills you start losing hp, so you're pretty much spamming it constantly, hoping your FP keeps up.

Seriously, those Omens are insane and then you've also got stupid poison flowers and BASILISKS in a small area with rats and those imp statues who are annoying af and fingercreepers and to top it all, the whole place is a maze. What do we get after we suffer through the area? More suffering in the form of terrible platforming!

Have you played a different game? There are points of interests in it. Buttons to press, to lift up platforms which lead to an enemy with unique loot. There's a small ruin with unique loot. There's an optional boss with unique loot.

Apparently beast repellent torch works on basks.

As for worst area I didn't enjoy my time in consecrated snowfield.

Im split between Mohgwyn Palace and Consecrated Grounds.

Both have obnoxious enemies, MP has the blood birds and the insta kill dogs while CG has those spamming archers that have way too much HP for no reason.

Lake of rot simply because whole concept of it is stupid. Always has been. Poison swamp areas have always been terrible. Otherwise everything with snow, because they're just so boring.
