that lion's claw seems interesting

I guess you meant one or the other?

Well depends on the move set i guess, if i recall Bastard Sword is a Straight Sword so its faster.

You can also get Lion's Claw ash of war and use it on other weapons.

But Claymore is a pretty good weapon, mainly cause of those pokes.

I enjoy the moveset of the claymore over the bastard sword, but with the addition of Ashes of War I think it becomes a lot less of gap.

Ok nevermind, confused it with the Broadsword, regardless, i think Claymore has better moveset anyway.

Bastard sword is a great sword. Claymore is more versatile because of that thrust. which the Bastard sword doesn't have - as for weapon speed, there is no significant difference. If you can get lucky, and have the Godrick Knight in the fortifications between Bernhal and Alexander to drop the knights greatsword, it is a much better option then the Bastard sword.

I agree, especially when all your enemies with great swords have a "thrust attack in addition to the weapon art.

thanks everyone, yeah, claymore feels like it's a better weapon, I got tired of the Greatsword, too slow.
Quadsword Apr 6, 2022 @ 10:22pm
Why not both? Claymore in your main hand, bastard sword in your left hand.
