ELDEN RING is a failure of game design, no journal, not objective markers, unbalanced bosses. Don't bother with this indie game trash.
OP I love both games
Also not fair tho. My experience and judgement now includes a lot of post launch patches and DLC.
In a few years be able say for sure though.
No one's doing that w/ Skyrim.
Unless you don't like story and want something more brainless and less engaging, then Elden Ring.
Ok... lets be clear here, that is 100% a lie
Mitten Squad, nerbit, there channels are literally dedicated to challenge runs like that on fallout and skyrim
I would also argue it is slightly unfair in that Skyrim also thrives on mods/support (to the capacity that the last release was just a bunch of mods added for QoL). In a From game, unless you throw out the online entirely, you are risking the biscuit.
Otherwise I would say - Elden Ring for building up my character and feeling truly powerful later, vs Skyrim where you become stupid powerful pretty quick.
Gothic 2 is better than both games.
I love Skyrim, but since Oblivion those games made a departure from over all “here ya go player, hf gl” design, and well, I miss it. Hence my love of Souls games too lol
