180 Day Quarantine?

I was summoned in as a hunter in one of those "AFK Rune farming" instances and was dropped an item called "Deathbed Smalls"from another hunter. I kept it for a few hours and googled how to get it later and realize it wasn't something actually in the game and dropped it immediately and logged out to get rid of it yesterday. Today, I joined another session as a hunter and my game crashed as I loaded in - Then steam said IT WOULD HAVVE AN ISSUE RECOVERINNG IT. So i waited a few minutes for steam to sync and then reloaded in and i now have this warning.

I now dont see summons everywhere like I used too ( I went and checked next to the final boss fight - I didnt get summoned for 4 minutes).. I guess I'm locked in a you can only with with other people who have this 'temp ban' server list? Can i still play with my friends with their password?

Thank you for waiting. Upon checking, I was informed that there are no current penalties on your account. However, you will have to delete all your game data and reinstall the game to avoid any penalties such as a 180-day quarantine. Game Data includes the game, all characters and save files.

BUUT when you read the whole message/warning that I got it says "Deleting saved Data or stopping unauthorized tampering will not remove this message. It will take several weeks before this message is hidden. The Penalty will be lifted after that time"

I guess I just wait and see what happens.

So, I got called in as backup for someone in a public game but if my friends have a password and i put my finger down matching their password and i'm soft banned.. I cant join them no matter what?

EAC is diabolical for us the hackers / cheaters have by passed it. If they had Blue sentinel mod guys this wouldnt be a thing they fixed it in DS3

The ♥♥♥♥♥♥ part is that While we were looking for the invader the hunter dropped it to me and pointed at it, we killed the invader and left.. I picked it up cause i thought it was.. Some silly frenzystone/random consumable. After seeing what i was I put it on and was like * Wooah these are coool.* I played for a while, made as whole vanity set for 6them and thought " My friends might want a set of these. Google'd them up, saw on fextralife they arent part of the game and yeeted them off a cliff. :(

I discarded them Yesterday for sure, IDk when they'll do the "check again" To see that I'm Item-free from no no stuff D:

Once you picked up you was flagged so it was to late anyway. Sad part these tossers know what they are doing and think its funny to get you banned

Deathbed smalls shouldn't flag though, it's weird. Especially if you didn't use CE yourself.

And from what I read, you usually get a warning about tempered files before anything. The 180 day ban is a consequence of not reverting your tempered file or straight up using mods or CE online with EAC enabled. It doesn't add up.

also since cheat tables are the top downloaded thing on Nexus i wouldnt be surprised if more and more of these threads start popping up in coming days. never pick up anything dropped, and dont cheat if u plan on playing online, its that simple

Just an FYI, but your first softban is only 10 hours. I'm not sure if there is a 10 hour message or not, but, if you don't get unbanned in 10 hours, then you did more than pick up an item. I make a hard save every day and use ERAB to make backups every hour while I"m playing, but I would remove that save entirely if possible. You could also start another game to make sure you have a clear save file.
