Should dropping items for friends be more limited?
I've seen this discussion a lot, especially people complaining about seeing early RL players going through places like Morne Castle with literally end game weapons that they likely had a friend drop for them. Then I saw somebody suggest that dropping weapons/etc should be limited to commons, like Lordsworn Straightsword for example. Being able to drop boss weapons, or god forbid, the Moonveil, to a friend is cool and all, but it kind of breaks the game at some point, no? I'm on the fence about it because I like the idea, but then you get people running through Limgrave at RL 10 with Radahn's swords on their first playthrough because their buddy on NG+ dropped it for him.

I mean, you'd see *less* twinkies more likely, but plenty of people would still play through the game to get all the stuff anyways.

Take Bloodborne, you can't drop ANYTHING for others in that game, my first playthrough I got invaded by like 15 twinkers when going through the nightmare levels.

I dont think its a big issue since they are still limited by upgrade level.

Even then it is fun to play with any weapon you want without necessarily finishing the game.

I don't see the issue. If they want to ruin the game for themselves, let them.

How does it affect your game that some friends trade stuff in their runs?

I personally wouldnt even have it as a feature.

Because those people can invade with end-game equipment and beat up new players, who have starting equipment.

OP isnt about twinking though. It is about PvE.

People also complete the game underleveled and do the same.

That's not a problem with trading tho, but with invasions being forced

Exactly, and the reward for being able to do so should be the endgame weapons.

Oh no i'm 90% talking about PvP. Hence the "seeing people running around at low RL with end game weapons" comment.
