I'm sorry but when are you allowed to attack bosses?
There's quite a few bosses I've met that just spam. I can dodge all day but are the bosses really designed in a way to where I'm only allowed one maybe two hits per spam??

What's the point of builds even?
Commander in the rot was so ... mind boggling unfair. Logical I won't try and face him 1v6 so I lure him away. Is that really what from had in mind? How are you supposed to do it alone??

Regardless I try over and over and over. Even with summons, and the adopted distracted, with the best timing I don't get even a chance to attack twice. I notice this trend OFTEN. Ds try hard losers will always talk ♥♥♥♥ so people are discouraged to try and coop. You know, part of the game. But I feel like so many bosses are just not designed that way. The made spirit ashes for a reason.

Spam spam spam. When tf are you allowed to attack? Having heavy weapons and high strength don't stun most, quick as ♥♥♥♥ claw spam can't even get two hits for most bosses before they continue their uninterruptable spam.

When do I attack. I spend more time dodging the arena then actually doing ANYTHING. Why is this like this???

Yes its challenging. In Ds games you could work out the boss moves not so much in ER.

Welcome to Elden Ring.

You don't get the cool combos. The bosses get the cool combos.

You don't play the game. The bosses play the game.

You kinda just have to stand there for 2 mins waiting for their nonstop combos to (hopefully) end before getting one attack in.

But sometimes it looks like the 2-min combo is about to end... but it'll be a fakeout and they'll keep going.

Nothing can be done about the garbage boss design. Elden Ring is just Dark Souls 2... 2.0

That's exactly. Exactly what it feels like. So yeah.

Watch boss do a ridiculous combo, avoid completely, hit once maybe twice. Then start all over because boss started chain attack instantly. What ♥♥♥♥ game design that's so unfortunate. It didn't didn't take a minute for someone to confirm after posting this

This isnt DMC. You are playing the wrong game

The strongest build in the game is lvl 1 naked dodge rolling R1 spammer with a club. He has mastered the game so well that he needs no tricks and can just fundamentals bosses to death with light rolling and the occasional punish. Every armor upgrade, talisman, spell, or status effect is a buff that makes the game easier and teaches you less of it.

Quit with that stupid "This isnt DMC" quote in almost every thread topic. It's embarrassing for the entire community to have such hit&run comments without any information.

Don't know what dmc is. Sounds like a drug. Maybe you're offering the wrong game??

Unfortunately thats how many of the ER bosses are designed. (Not all but many)
you only have like 1 good attack window in those fights and rest is just watching the bosses do their monologue dance.....

ER is a good game overall but the Bossdesign is not really good.

Many of the bosses are designed in a way that spirit summons who distract the boss create your attack windows....
So you can attack when the boss attacks the spirit summons.

but that makes fights too easy and also feel less skillfull.

So i dont use spirit summons since it feels really cheap :(

If you do true solo however thats just like many of the bossfights are
1 combo in a move of 20 combos that leaves a decent attack window
rest is run away and watch the cool flashy moves of the boss
Mixue Pizza Apr 5, 2022 @ 11:24pm
It's designed that way. Several bosses , mostly optional bosses means to fight with ashes.

Just don't stress yourself out. Either you leave them or just use ashes.

To be noted. I try to actually play the game. I don't cheese bosses. Of course that's subjective and some moron will argue with me but I mean I don't lure a boss of an edge, snipe out bounds. Etc.

The bosses in Elden Ring were meant to be cheesed.

This is one of the realizations I had early on.

The game does not respect you or your time. The bosses do not respect you.

There is no honor or skill on trying to beat them like you would Dark Souls bosses.

Do not let past experiences hold you back. Do not respect the bosses.

Cheese them hard.

lol commander o'neil has plenty of openings and is slow as hell so you can easily space him. Possibly one of the worst examples you could have chosen for your argument.
