You don't get the cool combos. The bosses get the cool combos.
You don't play the game. The bosses play the game.
You kinda just have to stand there for 2 mins waiting for their nonstop combos to (hopefully) end before getting one attack in.
But sometimes it looks like the 2-min combo is about to end... but it'll be a fakeout and they'll keep going.
Nothing can be done about the garbage boss design. Elden Ring is just Dark Souls 2... 2.0
Watch boss do a ridiculous combo, avoid completely, hit once maybe twice. Then start all over because boss started chain attack instantly. What ♥♥♥♥ game design that's so unfortunate. It didn't didn't take a minute for someone to confirm after posting this
Quit with that stupid "This isnt DMC" quote in almost every thread topic. It's embarrassing for the entire community to have such hit&run comments without any information.
But has that worked out for you?
Unfortunately thats how many of the ER bosses are designed. (Not all but many)
you only have like 1 good attack window in those fights and rest is just watching the bosses do their monologue dance.....
ER is a good game overall but the Bossdesign is not really good.
Many of the bosses are designed in a way that spirit summons who distract the boss create your attack windows....
So you can attack when the boss attacks the spirit summons.
but that makes fights too easy and also feel less skillfull.
So i dont use spirit summons since it feels really cheap :(
If you do true solo however thats just like many of the bossfights are
1 combo in a move of 20 combos that leaves a decent attack window
rest is run away and watch the cool flashy moves of the boss
Just don't stress yourself out. Either you leave them or just use ashes.
This is one of the realizations I had early on.
The game does not respect you or your time. The bosses do not respect you.
There is no honor or skill on trying to beat them like you would Dark Souls bosses.
Do not let past experiences hold you back. Do not respect the bosses.
Cheese them hard.
