Why Yui Tanimura wasnt fired after horrific DS2 and instead was taken on the role of Co-Director in this game?

Ds3 is just bloodborne minus gun parry and add loads of ds1 fanservice.
Ds3 is the only game that added absolutely nothing new of all soulsborne games

Tanimura was the one who saved the development hell of DS2, he was co-director and stitched together what remained with no more time at hand, and directed the DLCs which were far better compared to the vanilla experience.

They fired already the DS2 guy, Shibuya, and even there the development hell happened because after years of work Bandai decided that they didn't like where the game was leading to and fired him, making the game unfinished and unrefined.

If someone is to be blamed is usually Bandai, DS3 had to be rushed as well and even tho it came out far more polished and straightforward compared to DS2, there is still a lot of missing content and interesting ideas. It has been like this since DS1 after all

Thats because there is no bloodborne on pc.
Ds3 is just the mediocre game
Bloodborne does fast combat better and ds2 does pvp better.

dumbed down combat mechanics, not handcrafted quests, but radiant, whole game just dumbed down..
compare it with Daggerfall, or Morrowind.
but it doesnt mean that it is not loved by ppl exactly because it is dumbed down to ground

We can only hope that they will eventually make a dark souls/elden ring putting into it the same care they put into making sekiro. Without rushing things.

Dark Souls 2 is the best one with fresh interesting ideas: huge build variety, balanced PvP, repeatable bosses, power stances, actually slow and punishable estus.

Yeah DS2 has a lot of merits. But soul memory and the clunkiness of movements killed it for me. It's a shame.
