the crumbling farum azula is the worst experience ive ever had while playing a video game

the title is true without any shred of doubt. I dont know who thought it was a good idea to put every annoying enemy in the entire game into this one area. Banished knights, the little rats with swords, the storm birds, and even a 2v1 boss fight (which is seen as one of the worst boss fights in the entire game) are all in this one area and ive never experienced a worse time playing a video game in my whole life

He' not even hard. Just a ton of HP and a 1 shot attack for some reason.

To be fair, Azula is a terrible endgame slog, it feels like filler material to draw out the last bit to unreasonable lengths while throwing cheap shots at you.

Was still fun to get through (or fun to be done with it), but much like Blightown in DS1, your next playthrough makes you go "Do I have to do this bit?".

You can technically use the master key to go down the waterwheel and turn right to Queelag rather than left to the bonfire (or just drop by the bonfire in case you fear the possibility of a corpse run). This bypasses 95% of the non-fun parts of Blighttown.

I honestly enjoy Farum Azula. The only part that sucks is the part with the birds.

I didn't find Azula or Haligtree that bad. Maybe I was overleveled. :)

It's end-game so not surprising that it's hard AF. The "♥♥♥♥-your-pants" factor is definitely at the high end here. Having ranged or AoE abilities definitely helps, or you could level up a lot more before attempting to get through it. The intensity is something worth savoring. :)

You can go through Valley of the Drakes and jump onto the lift to skip all of it barring the swamp.
