So he’s clearly trying to manipulate you into turning into the Lord of Frenzied Flame, but one thing he’s not anticipating you to have a way to get an outer god to ♥♥♥♥ off

Personally I think the way to go is to actually taken him up on the offer…

Can’t really see any downsides aside from maybe the possibility of the needle wearing off or something in the future, but given that it’s stated to outright alter fate that doesn’t seem very likely

Funny, I actually took in the frenzy flame in my first playthrough. I loved the madness! All those gods and wanna be gods, sustaining life and gaining power through disgusting means. One ego trying to out ego the other ego. Die all in flames of chaos! Let this world melt! Let it melt until there's nothing left to melt, so that one day chaos might create better life!

-For one, its already uncomfortable even just seeing him the first time after he decided to puppet Yura's corpse

-For two, If you find any of the Shabriri/frenzy related items/locations or some of Vyke's equipment, you can really start to put two and two together that the dude is clearly omitting some important details regarding what the frenzy flame will do to you

-And for three, Melina can straight up tell you that the frenzy flame will ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ up if you talk to her at the last two graces before the door to the three fingers

Basically, Shabriri's got red flags all over the place. His final lines are just the largest ones in his inventory

In fairness, those who speak the truth are often the most hated. Lies and misinformation is spread and a boogeyman reputation is born. Many stories have built up a character as a villain only to later give context on how they have been misunderstood. It could have been very likely that Melina was another Frank Fontaine leading you towards an evil ending. Maybe Frenzy was just a reflection of the hate that Shabriri endured. And an ethereal god taking a human, tangible vessel isn't unheard of. The game really could have stood to leave it ambiguous a bit longer.
