ELDEN RING
Hailigtree area too hard?
Hailigtree is my last area to play through. UntiI now I couldn't enjoy it tbh. The bubble area oneshots me easily. After that it seemed to be ok until those three Royal Revenants killed me over and over again. I started to use the spells Unseen Form and Assassin's Approach to collect the items by suicide runs. I did that many times in DS3 with my twinks but I am locked at level 125 and like to enjoy my first playthrough. In this area some places are not enjoyable just boring. I mean placing an Eldentree Avatar then at least three Royal Revenants, cheap archers and an Eldentree Avatar again seems to be just bad game design for me. In no other area I had any problems like that. Is this area just for running through?

Only problem as mentionned is that corridor with FIVE (5) revenants, and that ridiculous avatar surrounded by knights and balistas (no idea how anyone can do that without cheesing it from behind).
Oh, and that crystalians trio gangbang right after. And the ulcerated tree spirit in the rot lake.

ALL of those are completely optional fights.
And all of those can be trivialized with the correct stragedy.

Barricade, go from behind.

Crystallians, pull one at a time (They can go over the branch)

Spirit? you can cheese this one with arrows by going back to the branches.

but I am locked at level 125

There's your problem - you should be a higher level for the Haligtree if you don't want it to be miserable.

It's not bad game design that you decided to stop leveling up - nothing wrong with that to maintain a level for PVP, but also nothing wrong that the level you picked is below what would make Haligtree easy/normal difficulty

It felt like the right level of challenge to me around level 150
My favorite area in the game, a nice challenge that can be overcome if you pay attention to the environment, plenty of spots to safely fight from a distance. Feels super rewarding to explore, as opposed to other dungeons in the game.
I was surprised how tough those Haligtree Knights are. And ofcourse the Revenants who can kill you in one combo.
If you explore the area carefully you can find a route to simplify everything. There's a lot of verticality and you can clear out all the soliders before fighting the Erdtree Avatar if you plan your approach carefully. Look for paths along the roots and butresses and you can find it.

Crystallians get staggered from two hits from Flames of the Redmanes. It was cake getting through them when I figured that out.

It should be doable at any level since there are players going in at rune level 1. However my personal belief is the same as yours going through Haligtree at level 125 sounds like a recipe for suffering. I currently broke my meta level 150 character and decided to level up more going through this zone again

As for Crystalians use jump attacks until they stance break, riposte, and now any attack can stagger them. Also of note they can be backstabbed.

Does anyone else think the Big Envoy sniper before the grace is overturned on damage?

That thing sucks...but it literally is the last field push in the game really..may as well be a damn great arrow sniper to take u out before you actually get there.

Have you been to Farum?
It was fine there. No issues at all.

im pretty sure it was intended to kill you, like so many other things
The Haligtree area is a good place to farm sou........ I mean runes. Get used to a specific area people tend to show on game videos. otherwise..... Yeah the area sucks.

The treetops area does suck, but the bottom city is great. Only problem as mentionned is that corridor with FIVE (5) revenants, and that ridiculous avatar surrounded by knights and balistas (no idea how anyone can do that without cheesing it from behind).

Yeah, actually maybe it's just a ♥♥♥♥ area
Same experience. Let’s compare it to the Ringed City. The knights are hard too but they are way better implemented than putting miniboss after miniboss just for the sake to make it hard.

Love it, how the argumentation goes from "it's too hard" to "it's boring, just bad design whatever".
Personally, I really liked this area and the toughness.
You're meant to look at the mid point of the Halig tree area and use your brain. It makes you platform the first half, so when you run into those 4 ballistas, knights and the Erd tree avatar, you're not dumb enough to run in face first and get hit by everything.

The game does this constantly, it tried to implants ideas via the area design. Perhaps it's too subtle for some.

Shout out to the dunce that calls thinking about your surrounding and using them 'cheesing' the area.
