LOL if that's true then this post wouldn't exist. 120 is duel zone, not many at that range do invasion. Most active invasion zone is 70-90 and even that is dead.
The majority of playerbase don't engage in PvP. Changing it to map-wise wouldn't change this. You want active online this isn't the place.
Also what is not true? You do not know how matchmaking range works?
You can't find anyone to invade because barely anyone engage in MP. It doesn't matter if you can search whole map or not. The targets simply aren't there.
You're the one not knowing the range. You want to be invaded yet you don't stay in the lvl range the community agreed on and then cling to "but muh matchmaking range". Activity is decided by the player pool.
You can scrap your char and get more activity while the pool still lasts, or tell yourself you're right and enjoy the barren wasteland :v
I mean what would be the downside of making it global? I only see the benefits of easier connection. Is selecting specific area to coop/invade even a benefit for anyone?
YES
10 V 10 OPEN WORLD FACTIONS
The only viable targets for normal invasions are the very few people that try to co-op through an entire area with their friends instead of summoning at the fog gate.
Unless we get a big overhaul don't get your hopes up. There is a Seemless co-op mod in the works which might become a good alternative if successful enough though so fingers crossed.
