don't you notice in the screenshot how they kinda look reversed? like they are sort of small strings compiling a big shadow but every string is reversed

ah no, didnt notice that, just looked jagged and didnt look closer

Old issue.

Started happening in v1.03 I think. The patch mentioned some "performance improvements". Some people were hoping for a stutter fix, but no, they nerfed the dynamic shadow and grass quality.

I recall some other posts about the shadows being messed up in snow areas, after an update. I have a somewhat minor effect like that on distant ground.

It happens in other areas too, but is usually less noticeable. The Mountaintop of the Giants is where you'll definitely see this issue the most.

its gotten better with the latest patch but yeah in some places shadows are still ♥♥♥♥♥♥
