FPS Stuttering Fix
Talking from personal experience certain services on windows 10 cause stuttering in games. These are the services I recommend you disable which has completely eliminated my stuttering in games.

Disabling GameDVR gave me the biggest improvement in games and got rid of most my stuttering. This video will show you how to disable GameDVR by editing 2 registry files.

You should also disable SysMain service which is also known to cause stuttering in games. Just type in services then find sysMain then stop the service right click then disable it.

The last service that you should disable is Ansel which is also causing stuttering. Scroll down to Ansel and download NvCameraConfiguration.

Update
You should always disable steam overlay in settings which is well known to cause stuttering.

If you use MSI Afterburner click on the gear settings icon then go to the general tab and untick/disable the Enable low-level hardware access interface. Go to Monitoring tab and untick /disable power. You should also only use OSD display for testing purposes only as the monitoring overlay may also cause game stuttering.

Ah ha. This might be why I haven't had stuttering issues with the game. I've had Ansel disabled for Hunt Showdown for years.

Yea, for me disabling game DVR also made a big difference to eliminate my stuttering.

Also SysMain service does nothing but take up system resources so I always make sure it's disabled.

Okay sounds like a great tip. I will see if that makes a difference.

Can't find ansel folder under Windows 11 and latest nvidia drivers 512.29. GeForce experience is not installed, btw. Any hint would be much appreciated.

I tried both fixes right away because ♥♥♥♥ it, I already tried everything.

I played one seamless session today. I'm not screaming victory yet because I've had some stutterless sessions but they always come back eventually.

Also, I've noticed that the WinKey+G shortcut is now disabled, a feature I use to switch between speakers/headphones while playing. If that's the price to pay to get rid of the stutters then so be it.

Will repost situation tomorrow after a session.

You should not disable SysMain and here is a lengthy post going over the reasons why:

I got a bit of a performance boost doing this, worth a try for anyone else. definitely helped with stuttering.

Add both of the exe's to windows graphics settings and set them to high performance.

eldenring.exe
start_protected_game.exe

At first i only had eldenring set to high performance but adding the anticheat engine to start in high performance somehow gave me more stable fps.

Shouldn't matter. As long as it's on a SSD you should be fine. Even on HDD its fine, loading screens will be a bit longer is all.
