Stuck Upon the Divine Bridge/ Rest at Grace does not work for me

Hey all, I am stuck up here at the divine bridge site of grace and cannot get down. 60 hours of gameplay, lvl 156. I got trap chested there, beat the giant, and cant open the portal. Never took the lift up so its a death jump away still. Everyone says to kill yourself and sit at the grace site. Did that and still cannot fast travel. Changed to all different times and still cant leave. I have done everything I can think of to get off this bridge. Any ideas anyone?

Why can you not rest at the site of grace? It should allow you to fast travel out of the area when you rest there.

sounds odd. first off :

the giant is irrelevant killing him does absolutly NOTHING. the gateway can only be activated by traveling UP with the elevator from leyndell area.

the chest trap teleports you there and blocks fast travel till you rest a site of grace. there is only 1 site of grace on the bridge. just resting there should remove the fast travel block. thats it.

did you already clear leyndell? did you kill maliketh? did you try verify game files? are you running mods?

Hey after everything Ive read I would agree. I can rest at the grace, change time, all that stuff but when I open the amp all the locations are still red lined across them and the Cannot Travel prompt comes up.

Supposedly patches sometimes break things but verifying game files should help. If not, idk what to tell you. There is an item that's similar to the dark sign in DS3 where it returns you to the last site of grace you rested at, at the cost of all your runes. Try using that?

Try relaunching the game? And set it to offline mode. It would be rare but it may be that the game is thinking that someone is trying to connect to your game or you are trying to connect to someone else's game so it is preventing travel (hunter ring/white ring, blue ring activated, invader connecting, co-op partner connecting)

Happened to me once and it was mega weird. It's unlikely that it is the case in that small solo area but I'd go offline mode anyways.

Yea I cleared most of the Capital, after defeating Godfrey I couldnt't fast travel out of there and had to fight my way through to the gates. Took a couple tries so i did go back. Di not kill maliketh, idk how to verify game files, and wouldn;t know where to start even if i wanted to mod. @Nerevar

I also tried going offline mode again and seeing what happens, messed with the cipher rings, tried jumping to the closest stake of marika, quitting while i fell, scraping down the walls with talons, trying to activate the lever before i hit the ground. I have two solid hours of trying to get off this place.

Exit game. Check your Steam library. Right-click Elden Ring. Properties. Local FIles. Verify Integrity of File Cache.

It'll start a mini-download to fix potentially corrupted files, really doesn't take long. It often fixes frequent crashes for me.

Right click Elden Ring in your Steam Library, go to properties. Then go to local files. Verify integrity of game files is an option you can click on.

Sounds like all that's left is learning how to zip (it's a glitch speedrunners use).

OH Did you try that item that allows you to directly warp to the Mohg Dynasty place?? The one you get from Varré in his questline? Just throwing random ideas out there.

Danm, looks like you managed to soft lock yourself, that sucks. The only way i see you getting free is if some hacker teleports you.

He was the first NPC I killed, never got through his questline. Was honestly an accident at first.

As kat.zygfryd suggested, try learning that "zip" move speedrunners use. Just watch any speedrun that's under 10 minutes, you'll see what kat meant.

It's some sort of glitch that propels your character in the air without any fall damage. Might be hard to do though you'll have to look it up
