Making the jump
I watch Elden Ring videos from time to time to improve my game. One thing it seems that everyone can do but me is jump far enough to get to the other side. This includes on Raya Lucaria rooftops, in Caria Manor, and currently, in Sellia Crystal Tunnel.

I sprint (B button), I jump (A button), and I fall. Every time.

Any insights into jumping further in Elden Ring are much appreciated.

You can jump whilst holding down the sprint key it increases your distance massively both horizontal and a little vertically try it out it really helps.

lots of jumps aren't just about the gap you need to account for elevation. the rooftops in Raya Lucaria get a run up so your running when you hit the edge then jump from the high point of the roof's slope toward the low point on the landing slope. this gives you more forward distance that you can cover with the jump and makes the jump very easy

You need to hold the sprint then press jump to make it account for sprinting jump. If you let go the sprint and press jump you will fail the jump.

Dunno which equip load bracket your character is currently in. For those jumps, I would change my character's equip load to Light.

Dunno which grip style you're holding the controller. I play on KBM so I can hold down sprint without releasing it and then jump by using 2 different fingers to keep the momentum. If you're not using the claw grip on the controller (thumb + index finger), then maybe change the grip style for those jumps.

Learn to use your thumb to hold B and press A without release B.

This is yes follow this mans advice equip load does not matter from what i can tell i can barely tell the difference between my heavy equipment load tank and my light character as far as jumps are concerned its all about not letting go of the sprint key
