Is the frenzied flame seal the best?
Since it scales off of four different attributes? Won't it still buff non-frenzied flame incantations pretty well?

Even though it scales off four the scaling isn't as great unless you put a healthy amount of points into each stat.

Better to get 80 Faith or 40/40 with Dragon than figuring a way to do 40/40/40/40 with four stats.

Unless you don't care about overlevelling then go wild.

Other seals outperform it at lower levels, but I suppose a max level character would benefit from it over other seals.

It depends on what you're trying to cast and your build. It probably works best on a build that's distributed across all the stats, but if the distribution is uneven, something else might work better - Clawmark Seal for example.

But it's very easy to imagine FFS is best on your current build

Also, buffs seem to ONLY scale off Faith for some reason, so if you want to buff a lot, a Faith seal is much, much better

Edit: something else to keep in mind is that bonuses from equipment, including in the off hand, will apply when you do stuff. So if you want to main FFS, but are casting lightning spells, you can hold a Gravel seal in the off hand but cast with FFS, and get the bonus to lightning on the higher scaling seal

For the record I do keep frenzied flame spells on hand just for the pesky tree spirits and avatars. I've had the best luck with them and the giantsflame spell. I've got every stat except int soft capped out of the four that it scales off of with the exception of faith being at 80 lol.

This character is hilariously overleveled so I don't really care. I'm trying to soft cap every stat by the time I stop bothering with leveling.

If you really wanna know

Vig 45
Mind 35
End 30
Str 45
Dex 80
Int 20
Fth 65
Arc 60

It's simple, use the seals that matches the magic you're casting the most.

Incant Scaling is a lie. XD

Because it scales off of 4 stats, it takes 4x the investment and even then the casting scaling isn't that great. It's claim to fame is it's upper threshold if you did manage to have a crazy number of points to invest in stats. Check the casting power of the different foci in:

Interesting, I get the investment, I was just always under the impression that the more attributes a weapon/item scaled off of the better it was in general (If you had high stats in all of the attributes being scaled off of.)

Ever since Dark Souls I've thought that lol

In general this is really not the case. If something has an S in strength it'll likely perform better than a similar weapon with a C in 4 stats

Only way to know for sure is to test, but that's what I do :)

Honestly tho... S rank in ER is very niche. Attack power is HEAVILY front loaded such that just having 20s in two B scaling stats is going to do better than a single S rank stat for quite a while. To say exactly where that crossover occurs tho... that'd take even more testing :P
