Edit: just noticed someone said something similar. Agree - just do what Drukaris said :)

Didn't notice this. Yeah at 51 int, nothing you do will really hit very hard, neither spells nor physical weapons that are scaling against intelligence. If you're using a Katana that's set to intelligence scaling, it wouldn't hit as hard.
If you're a mage hybrid, suggest you prioritise Intelligence to 80, Vigor to 40 and Mind to 40 above everything else. That let's you hit harder and survive.
(And if you really wanted to look like a samurai, you need to use a sword that's got magic scaling via the ash or naturally so it scales with intelligence (e.g. Uchigatana with bloodhound step and set to magic scaling), and get the absolute minimum in dex to hold it and a tiny bit of endurance. Or just drop the samurai sword for now and beat the boss as a pure mage.)
ah. well, if you want an easy Alecto win, just use Black Flame Ritual. It’s an incantation you get from a dungeon by the Freezing Lake. Alecto gets bodied by that incantation alone.
You can poke her with range like spears, thrust attacks, etc.
As she is a normal sized humanoid you can exploit heavy weapons against her to stagger her for safe interruptions of many of her attacks aside from the grab and aerial.
If you want to cheese her I'm sure magic or an ash spam will probably work well enough. Just a matter of picking the right one.
