Not sure how the old souls games did it but you can get really good resist with the right talisman and incantation. Watched a video were the last boss was beat using a holy tank build. Could block every wave of gold plus all that other crap tossed at it.
Fire giant also can counter the shiled play style, his roll can't be blocked, and many other moves can't be blocked, more precisely, the hit coming from the top can't be blocked
yeah but an impervious shield also ruins PVE. In either mode, it's cheating.
For the fire giant i do the fight on torrent and honestly it was fun on my end , i did the first one with a melee build and just hacked away at his feet and the second as a mage shooting swift glint stone shard and it felt like i was playing a gunslinger on horseback lol
The trick is to get under him before he does the big slam with his plate / dish or whatever that thing is and for when he shoves the snow at the beginning just curve towards the left while on horseback
Sounds like a filthy casual that uses WEAPONS. Shields only build is top-tier.
