Maliketh, why ?

I know people have said this many times but what the hell is going on with Maliketh ? I enter the arena, summon my mimic, he one shots me. I run to the side instead, summon my mimic, he one shots me. Whatever I do, the result is he ones shots me. I am level 195 and I cannot beat him. I try to hit him, he just does an AOE and then one shots me. Will this ever be sorted out or is this game for expert level players only ?

If hes one shooting you then your Vig is bloody low for lv 195 mate.

Get your Vigor to 60 and equip better armor and/or equip a phys dam negation talisman.

I tried more health but he killed me almost as quickly. He is just too damn psycho, my eyes cannot keep up with what he is doing. By the time I have healed he is on me again and bang, I am dead. Got the physical negation talisman on. No idea what armour to wear, it all seems to make very little difference to the outcome.

Utilizing the pillars all around you, and the boss can be rather advantageous.
He is not impossible.

I tried that and while he could not hit me, I also could not hit him. As soon as I poked my head out he sprayed me with rocks, and I died.

60 faith and strength, 30 on the rest apart from int which has nothing added and 12 on arcane so I can use the bad breath. I forget the name of the incantation weapon and my melee weapon is the medium sized bubble horn, can't get the biggest one. I use the mimic as a summon to help me, he is maxed out.

Maybe you should give the forum your character specs for reference? This boss is unique in the fact it is almost like a DMC boss battle exact. Makes it feel kinda crazy. Does not make him unbeatable.

Learning his patterns can make a difference. For example there is a three point spoiler with the aura attacks that make it easily avoidable. Takes practice. Like using pillars takes creativity. You can side step using pillar wall adv over just hiding behind them.

He pauses between larger attacks for example is something to note. Why not just putt a pw down, and request help as that is also a option?

I would seek help but I die so fast it would be a waste of peoples times. I listed my build here on this post as a reply to someone else. It is probably a mess but it seemed logical to me at the time. I went heavy on faith and strength, 60/60 and threw 30 into almost everything else.

30 vigor against this boss means you must learn to play against it perfectly. << You should have much more vigor 'JUST' for getting the time in to learn the boss's pattern. You can't learn anything if you die instantly.

Yeah, 30 Vig is way too low.
