Anyway, this might help you some, I haven't tested it myself (and don't have a character in place to do so), but I would hope that the ball trap -stays- disabled and thus will at least make a less annoying trip back? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGpfCevOkIc
If you have any gear that heals you, like Blessed Dew Talisman, putting that on to recover can speed things up too.
Rennala is a much shorter and safer run back than many Souls bosses were. The Church Gargoyles in DS1 was worse by far, and that was the first real boss you face in that game. The iron ball for Rennala follows the same route every time and you can run there without fighting anything. There were very few bosses in the souls series that had anything nearly as kind as what you have here. Maybe this game is making people too soft.
When you try rolling to the side it will nearly always damage you.
Haha yeah it's pretty bad. I can get in lore why Rennala might have torn up any Stakes of Marika around, but it is super annoying
They might have fixed it, but there was a cave somewhere with a glitched Stake of Marika; when you died at the boss it would ask where you wanted to respawn - if you picked at the stake, it put you outside the cave lol. Brutal
lmao never knew you could disable it.
