Why does a game has to be so hard ?
Why is it so hard to understand that different people like different level of difficulty when playing game. Not everyone is interested remotely in competitive gaming or difficulty. Many enjoy just to relax and have decent fun. What is this insane push for difficulty in FROM games ?

Why does the player need to lose their souls upon dying ? What's with that ? I don't know of another game to take away your levels and your progress through the game just because you died. I have collected these souls and levels and they should not be taken away from me.

Some difficulty is needed but when it is too much it becomes counter-productive as a source of entertainment. The difficulty of Elden Ring late game is unbearable, it is far more difficult than early to mid game. No transition, it suddenly spikes, something is severely off in the late game balance.

Hardcore arcade players might like it, but a significant share of players is being put off by the game's balance and its abusive sense of punishment. The whole game stinks from its obsessive desire to be punishing, one can sense it miles away just by observing how ridiculous boss moves are made in Elden Ring with the sole purpose to grief the player. As if FROM is not in a competition for a broad spectrum of players, but instead as if they are in a race to how to make the player quit playing their games as fast as possible.

Just go with the grief. It's about dying many times and finally the satisfaction of finally conquering something you thought you would never complete. I played Demon Souls on PS3 and the original Dark Souls PC port when they came out but I really never liked the whole hard just to be hard thing. I didn't like failing and not knowing how to go about to eventually succeed. Now 10 years later I don't care if I die, I don't care that I lose my souls or runes, I just go with it and do as good as I can and usually that's enough to win against something that seems impossible at first. I finally get why people like these games, and I am a fan now too as well.

GIT GUD. also you can level up, find better armor or weapon or if you are a real sissy you can use some magic attack. If you don't understand, play a different game, or mod it and make it a joke but you'll be banned. Put up a post on Steam asking for help and someone will help using a glass cannon comet azur bomb that will destroy whatever boss.

Why is it so difficult to understand that not everything is made for you? Why is it so difficult to understand that the level of difficulty the games have is 100% intentional and part and parcel of the intended experience? Why is it so hard for you to just play a different game that is suited to your tastes?
This is one of those games for the people that enjoy challenge and all you are asking for is to take something made for them so that you can enjoy it, removing what they like while you cry victim.

Because of the primordial phenomenon known as action and consequence. If you don't lose something when you die why bother trying to stay alive and not just brute force the game? In fact after they remove losing your souls what will you want next? Enemies to not respawn on the boss run? Why should you have to kill them again? You already killed them and that shouldn't be taken away from you too shouldn't it?

Again, why can't you just leave the game alone? You aren't enjoying it and it was clearly not developed with you in mind or for your particular demographic. Why are you demanding it change to make you happy? Do you just want to take away other peoples toys because you're bored with the millions you already have?

You realize the person with the unhealthy frame of mind here is you right? That you are intentionally subjecting yourself to something you do not enjoy and then complaining that it is unpleasant. The best part about this is that you knew ahead of time you will not enjoy it so even without trying to pass it off as being unpleasant because you don't enjoy it(and ignoring everyone and anyone else because again, you are the main character) what you are doing is clinically unhealthy behavior.
People enjoy the game.
People enjoy the challenge.
The developer is making and marketing the games towards this audience.
You are not part of this audience.

If you hate it dont play it, how hard is that? Many were hyped and want to play fromsoft's games like some mmorpgs, whining so hard against difficulty and invasions when their games have been that way since eons ago.

It's hard when you're invested and you want the game to do better for you but it won't or its hardcore fans push against any change, even objectively good ones.

This has to be a joke. This is the easiest From game, with all the summons, cheeses, and simply overleveling by exploring. Games don't need to cater to lowest common denominator. If you want to play a game like that go play some ubisoft crap

You guys have to understand that, while you think that a significant portion of players is turned off by the difficulty of From's games, it's actually the other way around. There are way more people that like the games' difficulty and play the games because of it than there are players who do not play them to the end because they are too hard for them.

I'm sorry if it isn't the right experience for you - but it is the right experience for enough people to have Soulsborne games change up the entire industry's approach to game design for the last 14 years now because of their success and their ability to bond the players to the games.

This is a master class in false equivalency. Just admit it all boils down to your fragile ego not wanting to share your toy with lesser gamers. This games it's fanboys feel superior and an easy mode would either make you angry that others are having an easier time or you lack the willpower to ignore the easy mode and would play it yourself.
