Anyone Else Annoyed by Quit Game Function?

I press the system menu, go on over to quit game, confirm that I want to quit.

and then it take me to the main menu, and asks me to press any button.

then I have to scroll to quit again.

Doesn't this seem like a little much?

Maybe just quit, and an option for "to main menu" or "to OS"

They had to fit bigass Elden Ring logo on screen. That's more important than QoL, like a user friendly main menu.

You can just Alt+F4 right when the bandai namco logo pops

This is one of the quality of life improvements i feel should change. It's fine to keep the gameplay formula the same from the older games, but the user interface should definitely be updated and modernized.

touch a site of grace to reset the world then alt-f4. So far i never got any issue other than the msg telling me i didn't leave properly.

Since i back up my saves, even if something happens, i am relatively safe.


If you decide to do that online, there is consequences.

Dude...I have three kids, two newborns...I absolutely LOATHE the quit game process. In fact, I'd argue it makes the game less accessible to parents.

One thing i know for sure, parents like to have a pause option. Well you don't have that either :P

This is typical of any console games port. Because they don't care for proper PC ports. At least they don't tell you to Alt+F4 to quit the game - which happened with DQXI.

At least in DS3 the menu music was so good I didn't mind.

Yeah it's stupid. But just so you know, you can safely alt+F4 as soon as the Bandai logo screen appears (the one with the white background).
Not before that, though, or you risk to corrupt your save if it was being written to at that moment.

The game saves when quitting to main menu, a safer method than the 'Save and Quit' option found in some other titles.
They could give the riskier save condition a try but it is doubtful that they will be willing to take that risk, making yet another thing that they have to fix which scores of people will complain about if it does not work as intended.
