Stuck in Selia town - Where the hell is the source?!
I've been running around Selia Town and the church area for an ungodly amount of time.

Where the hell do I find the opened seal that apparently hides 'the source'?

I've genocided the entire town, decided to say ♥♥♥♥ it to hideaway's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ trio boss and got the eternal darkness spell...-But I can't for the life of me find 'the source' or way onwards to the eternal city that it hints at.

3 roof tops with towers, the 3 with the ladders leading up to the top of the tower on em

Look for ladders close to the top of some building. You can interact with a sort of torch. There are 3 of those.

I've lit all the braziers, opened both big doors, but only found a disappointing duo boss fight and then the area took me back to dragonbarrows.

Is Selia seriously just a complete dead end?

Go up the staircase with the golden tree, there is a path there that is open.

The odd letter that the dude in the shack gave me said "light 3 candletowers to reveal the source" essentially.

Yea, on the way. There is a church with a NPC for a questline with a sacred tear.
