End game Vigor feels too squishy?
I think the Vigor soft cap is at 60, which is quite alot. If you hit that mark, you still dont really feel tanky at all. It kinda feels like a minimum requirement so you wont get one shot by a lot of stuff. Do you think Vigor as a whole should get a buff? I know there are great runes and even mixed physique which allows you to raise your hp further, but i think if you go as high as 60 Vigor you shouldnt need that?

I feel like I'm playing a different game from everyone else. My vigor is at 52 and most things take 5-6 hits to kill me (barring really big hits, and even then I can usually take at least 2 before going down).

Vigor isn't the only factor in damage. Use heavier armour, and defensive talismans and you'll start to feel a lot more durable. Add on top of that consumables like the boiled crab, and you'll be plenty tanky.

Also, take off all those talismans that lower defense. I'm willing to bet that the people complaining about constant one-shots are probably running around with like -30% damage negation. You can't deal damage if you're constantly healing or waiting to respawn.

FYI the goal is really not to get that much. You can have vigor at 99 and you are not going to be able to face tank much of anything.

40 vigor is more then enough for at least a second play through in NG.

ng+ you want that 60

One of the great runes gives you +25% hp when active, there are talismans that increase the hp, it's not a lot but helps. Also lvling vigor above 60 just gives you +6 hp each and gets lower and lower. Some helmets might give you a bit more hp

The first vigor cap is at 40 (+48hp) the next at 60 (+13hp)

If you mean journey 3, maybe. But I beat my first play through with less then 40 vigor, and am almost done with second at 40 vigor.

Faith builds get a variety of defensive buffs that are legit really good. People are too easily wow'ed by lasers and ♥♥♥♥. If you *really* want to tank hits, put a barrier yourself depending on what you're up against.

If you're any other build and you want to tank... I'm afraid you'll either have to hide behind a greatshield or craft Ironjar Aromatics.

I just started a faith build last night. I've NEVER used faith before. But the pacifist run, and some of the attacks look amazing! Any tips? I haven't decided on weapon type yet and I want my fashion to be holier than thou.

It is only at 60 because the gains were neutered compared to other games, at least compared to DS3 and DS2. What other games had at 40 vigor you now have to go to around 50 to achieve.

A larger HP bar doesn't change the damage you take; if you are using scar/soreseals - those increase damage taken - take em off, use better armor, use mitigation talismans like the dragon crest greathshield, level strength for even more physical defense if you really need to - at least lvl 20 is beneficial to most builds.
I do these things and I've never felt that I needed more than the soft cap of 40 vigor, you can check the vigor graph if you'd like to visualize how it changes over time:

Boss weapons (or rather 'special' weapons that upgrade with somber stones) are very strong early on compared to their more mundane counterparts. Particularly the Golden Halberd and the Winged Scythe for Faith builds. As your stats grow and more upgrade mats become available, other weapons start to catch up in damage.
You can pretty much use whatever you want and just infuse it with Flame or Holy. Like rapiers? Use a rapier. They're really good when dual wielded in fact. Like greataxes? Use a greataxe. Meet the bare minimum requirements to use the weapon you want and infuse it so it scales with your stats.

Probably also using those talisman attribute that enemies hits deals more damage to you.

Vigor is fine.
Wear defensive talisman and eat crab meat if you don't want to wear heavier armor.
