Another Ending

Maybe this makes no sense from a lore perspective but I don't see why we couldn't dig more into the Ancestral Worshippers in the form of a questline ending with a mending rune made from the sprouting horns of the "Fallen King".

Using this could embed the power of Life sprouting from Death into Order and make it the new purview of the Ancestral Spirits, essentially ending the story on their terms.

Considering the Ancestor Worshippers' lifestyle and perhaps their vision for the World seems like the most likable of all, I would definitely go for an ending like this myself.

There are alerady enough menaingless recolour endings that are "mending" endings. All they do is be a slightly different ending scene with a different rune, and you get (not with all of them) a slightly differently tinged skybox and erd tree. Just so they can say it has 6 different ending where "covenants" have meaningful impact on the ending you get. All of it is not really correct. I honestly prefeer the binary endings. Ether it goes on or it goes dark.

Can't say I agree about binary endings. I much prefer endings like this, at least when they get proper exposition. It would have been nice to get a bit more information about the state of the world as we leave it.

Let's be honest the Frenzied Flame ending is the only right ending. Everyone we like in the game winds up dead or worse. Therefore the world shall burn!

Exactly, burn that goofy copy paste world down. With all its ulcered tree spirits, watchdog cats, crucible knights and godskin nobles in it. Oh also the 50th reused vanguard from demon souls aka asylum demon for the ds1 players.
