Poison Armament How do I use this?

[RTX 5080 FE(Mr Happy)]

So, I put a sword in my right hand, it wont work, I tried every weapon I have. I am level 68 35 vigor 25 mind 30 intelligence. It just doesnt let me use it. I have it equipped.

Any help please? TY

What do you mean seal in left hand? What seal?

Poison Armament is an incantation.

You have to have a Seal armament equipped in your left hand to cast the incantation on the weapon in your right hand.

Seals are the equipment that allows you to use incantations, a "finger seal" is sold by the twin husks in roundtable hold. they are the faith version of the sorcerer staves.

You have to have your Seal in the left hand, the weapon in the right hand can also not have any status-infusion (like Magic, Holy, Lightning, Poison, Bleed etc.)

Some weapons are not buffable, you can test each one yourself or just go to the spreadsheet I keep of each and every weapon which includes whether it is buffable or not:
