No fps gain, whatever i do
I bought the game yesterday and sadly it runs very poorly, at a basis of 30 fps.
Strangely it doesnt really matter how i change my graphic settings. At Max and minimum it doesnt get higher or really lower then 30fps. I also tried to play at at a low resolution. Again with no effect.
My specs are:
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz 2.81 GHz
RAM 16,0 GB
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070
Its weird that nothing really changes the performance. I found some people on youtube, with a similiar setup, who get to 60fps.
Can someone help me? The game sucks with 30fps sadly...

Start by checking your GPU and CPU usage. Also make sure you didn't cap your FPS on Nvidia's control panel.

That cpu is a bit slow...

1070 mobiles not great either and beat out by the recommended as well

cpu is fine
i have 6700k and is is running fine
With that cpu, i have 1080 and I get around 80 fps on 1440p with high settings.
Something else is going on with his pc.

edit:
i see now that it is a laptop, yea that can be the main issue. Laptops sometimes have weird limitations

  1. Disable full-screen optimization.
  2. Run game in Borderless-window.
  3. Set all settings to low, try 1600x900 and see if there's a difference, otherwise go 1920x1080.
  4. Turn on Game mode in Windows.
  5. Turn off Nvidia Overlay, Xbox Game Bar, Steam Overlay etc.
  6. Set shader cache to unlimited in Nvidia Control Panel.
  7. Set everything in 3D settings in Nvidia Control Panel to High Performance.
  8. Change your Energy Settings to High Performance.

Would actually debate this heavily. Seems the consistency of personal issues deriving from 1070 or below, as should be suspected anyway, are more consistent in relation to forum posting topic issues, or seeking help.

The only equal level of issue comparison is higher end models running into similar nividia like issues. Would rec Op checks bios, clears out crunch data, checks for a niv bottle neck on fps, etc.

It's a laptop

A 1070s like a 960 and that CPU is nowhere near as powerful as yours

CPU and GPU Usage both are at 50%
What does that tell me?

I tried it, and it helped for +5fps. Still something!

Since you're on a laptop, have you checked so it doesn't use Optimus?
How to Turn Off Optimus on Your Gaming Laptop?[www.theworldsbestandworst.com]

Also, depending on your laptop, you might find that you get better performance if you use an external screen instead of the built-in screen in some cases. It all depends on if you have Optimus and MUX switch in the laptop.

I hope that is not the issue here. Its just confusing to me that nearly nothing i do changed the framerate for the better or the worse...

if changing any graphic settings doesnt make a difference its 99% likley the CPU is the issue.

Would it help to overclock the CPU? What do you think?

If the CPU is the bottleneck it is possible that it could have an effect since this game isn't well optimized for multi-core processing, which means a higher core clock on one core is better than more cores.

If possible you could try overclocking the one core that the game favors for better CPU performance. Overclocking all cores will just make your laptop CPU throttle faster.
