check out the harp bow in shaded castle, you can be a lvl 1 wretch and have the best style too!
It was meant to be tongue in cheek but I am a card carrying member of the bonk bonk club. 😉
I love the fact I start at first level honestly, getting to entertain myself by saying "bonk" when I leap attack a random baddie until I get my first lordsworn straight sword as a drop and get enough str to start using great swords is just gravy.
Create a Mage his basic skill does more damage than Mighty Shot, chases enemies and you don't have to spend on arrows
I agree, but I'd spend my first few levels getting tens in the low stats even if they were wasted points since it would gnaw on my soul otherwise.
I agree from a min-max perspective with what everyone has said, my original post was meant as a tongue in cheek comment, even if I personally enjoy the class for different reasons.
No that sounds reasonable lol.
I did Str/Faith with a Hero but my FP consumption is pretty low, I'm just tossing a flame sling or throwing sand here and there, axe doing 90% of the work. Order's Blade is a bit draining but it's doing pretty good work.
Definitely want to try and build Int+Faith "full mage" astrologer though.
good luck robin hood
Was kind of hopeful when they added a stealth mechanic and open world that it would at last be more than an afterthought.
Yeah but we always have Skyrim for the nuclear stealth archer build lol.
I haven't used the physick at all but I'll look into that one
Once you start accumulating enough arrows and mats to not worry about ammo efficiency, cranking up status effects through fast firing, through natural and WA like Barrage, will always be a good way to supplement close range combat.
Good kiting skills is great in the open world portion of the game but you'll need to diversify in dungeons. A good cheese melee or even a shield and spear combo and then some back up throwing knives to finish off enemies/bosses at range would keep you comfortable.
