What is better in your opinion? I have played only Skyrim vanilla so far

How so?

as he said, it is not comparable, Elden Ring is vastly better in every way to vanilla Skyrim, but modded skyrim depends vastly on the person and the mods

Skyrim is RPG, many quest and NPC a world of choice.

Elden ring is just you go and kill whatever is on your way.

The only similarity they share is the open world.

not comparable

Elden. it has combat that's actually fun and allows a decent amount of actual skill involvement, unlike the Skyrim "walk up to the enemy and mash attacks until they're dead."

Please read carefully what is written. I wrote MODDED SKYRIM - it means modded combat and everything else.

Everyone saying not comparable is instantly proven wrong by the next post comparing the two.

I would say Skyrim, because of the "modded" part. In a way ER is a sandbox, but with mods Skyrim can be the better sandbox *for your specific taste*.

Yet you will never reach the same game design of ER even with skyrim mods, you can increase difficulty you can add mobs but never at all reach what ER propose in the game after thousands hours of modding i can tell.

So it is not comparable at all

Skyrim can be better with the right set of mods, but Elden Ring blows vanilla Skyrim out of the box, also they're different experiences unless you get mods that add soulsborne mechanics like rolling or parrying, so it extremely depends on what you get, how it works out, how good you are at mixing at matching and how much you even love Skyrim to begin with, i would never play Skyrim in a 1000 years if I depend on the work of fans in order to make the game "comparable" to ER, play each game for what they are and what they offer and keep comparisons for maybe Elder Scrolls 6, Skyrim is it's own thing, past it's prime, a buggy ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess and only made awesome in current today standards by the community, ER will obtain it's own superior shine even for mods as time goes by.

It is completely comparable and I bet Skyrim is absolutely better, though battle system is worse.
