There is a finite number also quite a few can be bought, otherwise they are world/dungeon loot. From wiki: there is up to 20 that can be gotten and you cannot get new ones from places already acquired in a NG+

Also big note a lot seem to gloss over: they are reusable when tossed, in case you did not know.

Yeah, i think theres a maximum of 20 of those, no more.

Can you can't farm them. They're key items and have fixed amount that you can own (per character)
They act as containers and won't disappear once used.

and 10 of the ritual pots in 10 set locations.

you have to grab them.

means yo can hold onto 20 crafted and 10 crafted of the two pot types respectively

Try Jarburg. Its below the Carian Study hall in Liurnia. Dont kill the big pots but you can loot ones on the ground all over the place.

Oh wait, you meant cracked pots for making consumables. You can't farm those, only find them in specific locations. There's a bunch in Jar-Burg.

20 cracked pots max in the game. you get one from a couple merchants each, 3 near the beginning of the game, and usually near pot enemies. check out the wiki/fextralife for specific locations.
